Derrick Orloski, son of Douglas Sr. and Tammy Orloski of Franklin Township, was recently awarded a full scholarship to attend Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week at Lycoming College.Orloski, a junior at Slippery Rock High School attended one of four weeklong sessions of the economic education program, which offers participants the chance to compete in a simulated private enterprise system.———

Justine Beck, daughter of Joseph and Diane Beck of Butler, has been accepted to Gannon University, where she began classes for the fall 2007 semester.Arecent graduate of Knoch High School, Beck is pursuing a degree in the physician assistant program.While in high school, she was a member of the Spanish and chemistry clubs and was listed in Who's Who Among American High School Students.She also participated in soccer, swimming and track and took second place in the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science Competition.———

Douglas Gebhart of West Sunbury was recently named to the Distinguished Scholar's List at Montreat College.Gebhart was named to the list by earning a grade-point average of 3.9 or higher.———
