John R. Kaylor, 75, of Butler died at 7:50 a.m. Monday at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.

Born Nov. 23, 1931, in the Blairsville area, he was the son of Alfred and Edna Clark Kaylor.

He served in the Air Force with the 57th Airborne during the Korean War.

He was a member of the Butler Notables and loved to write poetry.

Mr. Kaylor drove a bus for 19 years for Butler Motor Transit and retired as a bus mechanic from Fort Worth Transit.

Surviving are his wife, Pat Landgraf Kaylor, whom he married Aug. 31, 1979; two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Beth) Sinclair of Saltsburg and Mrs. Monty (Sandy) Goss of Commodore; a son, the Rev. Robert Kaylor of Park City, Utah; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Sam (Delores) Rura of Coral, and Vivian Hill of Buena Park, Calif.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.
