For those of you who are looking for an affordable day of fun let me make a suggestion; go to Waldameer Amusement and Water Park in Erie, Pa. It may be an hours drive but trust me, it is worth it. We took our whole family for about $9.00 a piece, less than that for children. They have dollar days and you can save money by looking on the soda cans where they have coupons. We had a great time and an additional bonus, parking was free, entrance to the park is free if you aren't planning on riding and if you enjoy water slides, the free wading pools and lazy river bring your swimsuit. They also have free electric accomadations so you can bring a george foreman and grill out at one of the provided pavilions saving addional money on food. It's a great deal and a very good time. I too think that the prices for the fair and farm shows have become outragious. For those of us who have families we need to look for cheaper alternatives. Any more suggestions?
