The Butler Catholic School coed junior varsity soccer team recently won the Diocese of Pittsburgh's World Cup Division for the spring season.

The team defeated Saints Simon and Jude 6-1, St. Joseph 4-0 and St. Mary of the Assumption 4-2.

Junior varsity members are Derrick Andreassi, Keanan Barlow, Kelsey Belcher, Kyle Boyer, Gabriel Carney, Dan Cleary, Logan DeFelice, Zane Homa, Katelyn Kletzli, Levi Leyland, Crysta Lewis, Angela McKnight, Ian McNany, Davis Miller, Szaley Miller, Nate Morgus, Matt Pintell, Emma Preston, Nick Roth, Tori Sawhney, Emily Shorr, Mallory Truax and Lucy von Fahnestock.

The varsity team reached the playoffs but lost in the first round.

U-14 Soccer

Cody Wolinski scored off a Derek Dietz assist to help Prospect Boys and Girls tie Mars 1-1 in PAWest U-14 traveling soccer.

Jordan Marks made 10 saves for Prospect.
