Hertz

Josephine M. Hertz, 95, of Glen Burnie, Md., formerly of Whitestown Road, died early Monday at Genesis Elder Care-Hammond Lane in Brooklyn Park, Md.

Born in Butler, Feb. 7, 1912, she was a daughter of Alois and Teresa Petch Rothen.

She was a lifelong member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler; and since moving from Butler to Maryland in 1978, she has been a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Linthicum and she also belonged to the Ladies Sodality of the church.

Surviving are three sons, Kenneth L. Hertz of Glen Burnie, Robert F. Hertz of Long Island, N.Y., and Richard J. Hertz of Butler; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins and other relatives in the Butler area.

Her husband 45 years, Frank J. Hertz, died July 12, 1975. She also was preceded in death by a grandson, two brothers and two sisters.

Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., with the Rev. Pierre Falkenhan officiating.
