Kristy Weber of Butler has been accepted to St. Vincent College for the Fall 2007 semester.The daughter of Eric and Sandra Kirby, she is a senior at Butler High School.She serves as the historian for the Youth and Government organization and the vice president of the Junior Classical League.———

Jessica McCaffery of Knoch High School was awarded one of five scholarships from Blackwood Theater Organ Society.McCaffery plays the oboe and has been first chair at PMEA District and Regional Honors bands, and state bands. Jessica is involved in programs that work with underprivileged children, senior citizens, school violence, drugs and alcohol.She and the other awardees will perform at a recital at 2 p.m. May 6 at Frick Art and Historical Center in Pittsburgh. The recital is free.
