Lutz

Thomas John Lutz, 73, of Buffalo Township died at 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Wilk-insburg Life Center, while in the company of family members.

Born in Butler, Jan. 22, 1934, he was the son of S. Bernard and Elizabeth Gephard Lutz.

He had been a maintenance mechanic at Westinghouse Electric in Cheswick for 35 years and retired in 1995.

Mr. Lutz was a member of Our Lady of The Most Blessed Sacrament Natrona Heights.

He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, gardening, listening to country music and traveling with his wife.

He was always there to lend a hand in times of need for his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Mildred "Mitzie" Krutz Lutz; two daughters, Deborah (Fredrick) Samay of South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, and Donna (David) Christy of Buffalo Township; and five grandchildren, Jessica Samay of Clarion, John Paul Samay of South Buffalo Township and Jake, Anna and Madalyn Christy, all of Buffalo Township.

He also is survived by a sister, Catherine (Raymond) Smallback of Frewsburg, and a brother, Steve (Dee) Lutz of Rochester, N.Y.

<B>LUTZ </B>— Friends of Thomas John Lutz, who died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>REDMOND FUNERAL HOME</B>, 524 High St. Freeport. A parish wake service will be held Friday evening at the funeral home.A parting prayer service will be held at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, and a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of The Most Blessed Sacrament, Natrona Heights. The Rev. Richard Tusky will officiate.Burial will be at the Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
