Pirrera

Eva Smith Pirrera, 73, of 116 McGrady Road, Fenelton, died at 2:25 a.m. Saturday at Sugar Creek Rest, Worthington.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., April 19, 1933, she was the daughter of John and Lillian Amplo Smith.

She had been the production manager for a sewing factory in Brooklyn. After moving to this area, she worked at Polishing Systems in New Castle.

Mrs. Pirrera was a Catholic.

She enjoyed sewing, word puzzles and cooking.

Surviving are two daughters, Vita M. Long of Florida and Deborah Hilliard and her husband, Reynold, of Butler; a brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Mary Smith of Queens, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Lisa Arner and Michelina and Gina Hilliard; and two great-grandchildren, Dylan Campbell and Julia Arner.

Her husband, Mario Carmen Pirrera, whom she married Nov. 10, 1970, died Jan. 12, 2007. A brother, Wilber Smith, also preceded her in death.

<B>PIRRERA </B>— Friends of Eva Smith Pirrera, who died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, will be received from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the <B>Samuel Teolis Funeral Home</B>, 309 Spring Ave., Ellwood City. A blessing service will follow at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Oesterle officiating. Burial will be at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
