Swayne

Mary Lou Swayne, 56, of Harmony died Sunday at the St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars.

Born April 5, 1950, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Walter F. and Louise Shenot Merriman.

She was a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish in Ellwood City.

Mrs. Swayne enjoyed children and offered her time as a baby-sitter. She also was an avid bingo player and a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving are her husband, James H. Swayne Sr., whom she married June 19, 1971; a daughter, Jody Baxter and her husband, Steven, of Harmony; a son, James H. Swayne Jr. of New Castle; a sister, Kathleen Curran and her husband, John, of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Walter F. Merriman III and his wife, Marlene, of North Hills; and three grandchildren, Jayde, Alexis and Kiarra Baxter.

<B>SWAYNE</B> — There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian burial for Mary Lou Swayne, who died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Holy Redeemer Parish, 415 Fourth St., Ellwood City.
