INLINE HOCKEY

The Butler Elementary inline hockey team concluded a 10-0 season with another Tier 1 championship over the weekend in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Roller Hockey League.

Butler extended its overall winning streak to 50 games and has not lost a game since 2004.

The PIRHLtitle came via a 9-3 victory over Canon-McMillan in the semifinals and a 7-3 triumph over Hempfield in the championship game. Dustin Davis scored seven goals in those two contests.

Jordan Krajnakovich added three goals, Ryan Denny had two, Troy Double, Trevor Gilliland and Jonathan Fair had one each.

Butler allowed only 2.7 goals per game this season. Leading the way on defense were Denny, Justin Wehrli, Dalton Scott, Marcus McCall, Clay Bachman and Zach Schnur.

Other players on the squad include Nick Whann, Austin Cehelsky, Conner Scott and Ryan Redmann.

Coaches are Mike Wehrli, Mike Denny, Tom Fair and Terry Davis.
