T. Scott Kennedy, 57, of Shrewsbury Township, N.J., died Thursday in West Long Branch, N.J.

Born in Butler, he was the son of the late Guy and Mildred "Midge" Booher Kennedy.

He received his master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University. He was employed as a technical manager at Net2Phone in West Long Branch, and was very dedicated to his job. He was formerly employed by Bell Labs and Lucent Technologies in Holmdel and West Long Branch. He worked on the lunar landing project.

He liked to travel, listen to classical music, play the clarinet and piano, and enjoyed researching family genealogy. He loved trains, the horse track, Atlantic City and bingo. He was very quiet, kind, and generous and put everyone else before himself.

Surviving are two daughters, Melissa Kennedy, and her fiancé, Nate Owen of Woodstock, Ga., and Jessica Kennedy of Tinton Falls, N.J.; a brother, James Kennedy, and his wife, Virginia, of Denton, Texas; his former wife, and mother of his children, Deborah Kennedy; and companion and best friend, Yvette Newman of Forked River, N.J.; and pets, Allie, Gus and Luna.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, William Johnson.

<B>Kennedy</B> — Friends of T. Scott Kennedy, who died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, will be received at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Ted Martin, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, officiating.Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Township.In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Gulf Tower, 707 Grant St. 37th Floor, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15219-1916.Information and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
