The Butler freshman hockey team dropped a 2-1 decision to Shaler recently despite scoring just 26 seconds into the game.

Dominic Oliver got the Golden Tornado goal. Cody Bachman's shot was turned aside, but Butler teammate Marc Strange gathered in the rebound and passed it to Oliver.

Sam McCue scored twice for Shaler, the winning goal occurring with 53 seconds remaining. Levi Rodgers, Corey Chuba, Jake Whann and Ben Beers played well defensively for Butler.

Goaltender Mike Arturo stopped 22 shots. Butler faces Freeport Match 7 at Belmont Arena.
