INLINE HOCKEY
The Butler elementary inline hockey team ended regular-season play recently with 18-2 and 12-3 victories over Chartiers Valley and Canon-McMillan, respectively.
Butler (8-0) will play Hampton in the first round of the playoffs next week. Butler outscored its opponents 112-21 in the regular season.
Dustin Davis scored five goals in the win over Chartiers Valley. Ryan Denny added three goals, and Jordan Krajnakovich and Troy Double had two each. Marcus McCall, Trevor Gilliland, Connor Scott and Ryan Redmann each scored single tallies.
Clay Bachman was the winning goaltender.
Nick Whann and Double scored three goals each in the win over Canon-McMillan. Krajnakovich and Davis scored two each, while Fair and Austin Cehelsky had one each.
Denny and Bachman shared the victory in goal.
