The Butler Catholic seventh- and eighth-grade boys basketball team won its fifth consecutive tournament at the Sacred Heart Christmas Tournament recently.

The team went 3-0 in the eight-team tournament and is 19-0 in tournament play this season.

Players include Bobby Swartwout, John Barkus, Vinny Schmidt, Sam Cleary, Billy Smith, Corbin Seezox, Joey Friel, Michael Connelly, Josh Dymun, Philip Kletzli, Michael Schneck and Joe Holefelder.

Coaches are Harry Leyland and Rob Swartwout.

• Butler's sixth-grade boys basketball team recently reached the finals of the 12-team Pine-Richland Holiday Tournament, defeating Pine-Richland 29-24, St. Alphonsus 34-11 and Fox Chapel 31-23 before losing to West Middlesex, 23-15.

Players include Ian Bergbigler, Shayne Wilbert, Justin Keene, Ryan McCrea, Shae Stobert, Robert Stamm, Luke Tincha, Jacob Alston, Adam Schaffner and Cory Hilliard. Coaches are Jason Stobert, Bernie Bergbigler and Jay Wilbert.
