Ryan Koch, the son of Kent and Anne Koch of Harmony and a member of student government at Northwood University, participated recently in a Michigan Campus Company service leadership camp in Midland, Mich.Northwood was among 17 colleges and universities to send student leaders to the 2½-day camp. Koch is a sophomore.———
Laura Winters, daughter of Bob and Mary Beth Winters of Butler, has been accepted to Edinboro University for the fall 2007 term.Asenior at Knoch High School, she is a member of the tennis team, marching band, Future Farmers of America and the Art Club.At Edinboro, she plans to major in graphic design and participate in the concert band and art club.———
Amanda Henry of Renfrew and her research partner, both students at Slippery Rock University, recently received first-place honors at the Ninth Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium in the Chemical and Biological Sciences at the University of Maryland.The winning research project examined how viruses and cancer affect human cells.
