One of my favorite past times in Butler was strolling up and down Main Street, shopping or looking, then stopping at Eat 'N Park on Main Street for lunch.

Remember when Howard Johnson's was on North Main St?? And the old Willard Hotel was on S. Main St. but then tore it down and made a parking lot!

Remember when no one worried about locking the doors to their house, and left the car in the driveway without locking it up?

We didn't even have a key to our front door for the first 20 years we lived in Butler!

It was a kinder, gentler time and I'm sorry our grandkids won't get to experience it.
