Lorant 65th anniversary
Ray Jr. and Eleanor Lorant of Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Jefferson Township, formerly of Allegheny Township and West Virginia, celebrated 65 years of marriage recently.
The former Eleanor Spiering married Lorant on Nov. 26, 1941, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Parish in New Kensington.
They have two children, Raymond Lorant IIIof Apollo and Donald Lorant of Allegheny Township. Another son, Frederick Lorant, is deceased.
They also have four grandchildren and are expecting the birth of their first great-granddaughter in January.
Lorant worked as a glass cutter for 30 years in Arnold and for 10 years in Clarksburg, W.Va.
Mrs. Lorant worked as a cook at the Elks Club snack bar in Clarksburg.
The couple belongs to St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church in Vandergrift.
