Grossman 90th birthday
Pearl Grossman of Karns City will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Concord Presbyterian Church, 625 Hooker Road, Concord Township.
The former Pearl Christie was born Dec. 6, 1916, in Concord Township. She married John "Jack" Grossman Sept. 29, 1943. He is deceased.
She has a sister, Anna Daugherty.
Mrs. Grossman is a 78-year member of Concord Presbyterian Church. At the church she has served as a deacon, elder and trustee. She served as the preschool Sunday school teacher for 57 years and has 39 years of perfect attendance.
Grossman served as chairman of the March of Dimes for Concord Township for 20 years. She is a life member of the North Washington Firemen's Association and a member of the Presbyterian Women of the Beaver-Butler Presbytery.
