Leise 50th anniversary
Leroy and Margaret Leise of Portersville celebrated 50 years of marriage during the summer with an open house at the home of their son, Scott Leise, in Slippery Rock.
The former Margaret Moniot married Leise on Sept. 15, 1956, at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Slippery Rock.
They have 10 children, Thomas Leise of Lisbon, Conn.; Susan Kradel of Knoxville; Patricia Kiefer and Daryl Leise, both of Portersville; Timothy Leise and Janet Leise, both of Prospect; Scott and James Leise, both of Slippery Rock; Teresa Portner of Franklinton, N.C.; and Dennis Leise of Brookfield, Ill.
They also have 11 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Leise is retired from the Kerry Coal Company in Portersville.
Mrs. Leise is a homemaker and is self-employed. She belongs to St. Christopher Roman Catholic Church in Prospect. At the church, she participates in the Women's Guild and serves as a Eucharistic minister.
The couple enjoys traveling to visit family and bluegrass festivals.
