Ellen I. Fignar, 53, of Zelienople, formerly of Pittsburgh, died Wednesday at UPMC Passavant Hospital.

Born Nov. 6, 1952, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of George R. Fignar and the late Lois Wagner Fignar.

Miss Fignar had been employed for 34 years by the United Methodist Center of Western Pennsylvania in Cranberry Township, where she served as the pensions and benefits officer.

She is survived by her father of Zelienople; a brother, George L. "Greg" Fignar and his wife, Mary Rose, of Pittsburgh; a niece, Missy Fignar and her companion, Tim Kohan, of Pittsburgh, and two nephews, John Andrew Fignar and Matthew G. Fignar, both of Pittsburgh.

She was preceded in death by her mother, who died Dec. 13, 1992.
