Donald and Evelyn Kennedy

Donald and Evelyn Kennedy of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a dinner party with family and friends at The Atrium in Prospect.

The former Evelyn Wogan married Kennedy Nov. 10, 1956, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Butler.

They have three children, Karen Link and Gordon Kennedy, both of Butler, and Brian Kennedy of Harrisburg.

They also have eight grandchildren.Kennedy worked as an electrician and retired from Fuelgraf Electric in 1996.Mrs. Kennedy is a homemaker and former secretary at St. Peter's Episcopal Church.The couple belongs to Christ Community United Methodist Church in Butler Township.They enjoy traveling and have visited all seven continents. They recently returned from an anniversary trip to Africa.
