Sutton

Roxie Sutton of Evans City will celebrate her 100th birthday with an open house from noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 4 at Ritzert Hall in Evans City.

The former Roxie Fair was born Nov. 4, 1906, in Center Township, Indiana County.

She has four children, Jean Sutton and Dorothy Marburger, both of Evans City; William Sutton of Bradfordwoods; and Jerry Sutton of Cabot and Tionesta.

She also has 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Two sons, a grandson and a great-granddaughter are deceased.

Mrs. Sutton is a homemaker.

She is a member of Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Evans City, where she is a former member of the church quilting group. An avid quilter, she has also made quilts for children and grandchildren.
