Braun 60th anniversary
Clyde and Thelma Braun of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage recently. The couple celebrated with family during a July picnic.
The former Thelma Dressel married Braun Oct. 21, 1946, at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
They have seven children, Clyde Braun Jr. of Markleysburg; Philomena Wasko of Lynchburg, Va.; Jennifer Monaco, Victoria Braun, Jeffrey Braun and Eric Braun, all of Butler; and Alyssa Trivilino of Ellwood City.
They also have 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Two grandchildren are deceased.
Braun is retired from Armco. He joined Boy Scouts of America, Moraine Trails Council in 1956; is a life member of the Butler City Hunting and Fishing Club and the National Rifle Association; and is a member of the North America Hunting Club.Mrs. Braun is a homemaker. She belongs to the National Council of Catholic Women.The couple belongs to St. Peter Roman Catholic Church. At the church, Braun belongs to the choir, and Mrs. Braun is active in the Women's Council and other church activities.
