Meryl and Franklin Fugini

Franklin and Meryl Fugini of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage Sept. 2 with a family dinner at the Georgetown Inn in Pittsburgh.

The former Meryl Rodgers married Fugini on Sept. 29, 1956, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church on North McKean Street.

They have four children, Regis Fugini of Seattle, Wash., Brenda Fugini of Pittsburgh, Barbara Krchnak of Butler and Gerald Fugini of Mechanicsburg.

They also have two grandchildren.

Fugini is retired from the Armco Steel Corp.

Mrs. Fugini is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church.
