Margaret and Donald Morando

Donald and Margaret "Peg" Morando of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a family dinner at the Runway Restaurant in Penn Township.

The former Peg Kirkwood married Morando Sept. 20, 1956, at St. Elizabeth Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth City, N.C.

They have two sons, Thomas Morando and Richard Morando, both of Butler.

They also have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Morando retired from the Butler Bureau of Fire after 18 years. He is a veteran of the Navy and a former employee of Lezzer Lumber.

Mrs. Morando retired from Butler Pediatrics after 20 years.

The couple belongs to St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
