Clyde and Martha Allison

Clyde and Martha Allison of Prospect celebrated 65 years of marriage recently with a family dinner at the home of their daughter Carol Christley in Prospect.

The former Martha Oertel married Allison on Sept. 6, 1941, at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler.

They have five children, Dolores Hays and Carol Christley, both of Prospect; Patricia Powell of Butler; Nancy Anderson of Broken Arrow, Okla.; and Robert Allison of Lake City, Fla.

They also have 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Allison is retired from Cooper-Bessemer

Mrs. Allison is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to Mount Zion Baptist Church in Prospect.
