Earl and Ethel Young

Earl and Ethel Young of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage recently with an open house and ice cream social at St. John's Reformed Church in Butler Township.

The former Ethel Mills married Young on Aug. 16, 1946, in Hagerstown, Md.

They have four children, Donald Young of Federal Way, Wash.; Janice Young Reott of Aliquippa; Deborah Young Palmer of Chicora; and Sharon Young Schneider of Butler.

They also have seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Young is retired from Armco Steel. He is a veteran of World War II.

Mrs. Young is a homemaker.

The couple belongs to St. John's Reformed Church.
