Woessner 60th anniversary

Sarah and Clifford Woessner

Clifford and Sarah Woessner of Prospect celebrated 60 years of marriage recently with their family.

The former Sarah Albert married Woessner Sept. 11, 1946, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Prospect.

They have four children, Clifford Woessner of Prospect; Warren Woessner of Chesapeake, Va.; Patricia Grossman of New London, Wis.; and Karen Schnelle of Portersville. A son, Frederick Woessner, is deceased.

They also have 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Woessner is a retired, self-employed farmer. He is a former member of the Portersville-Prospect Rotary Club and the American Legion Post 417. He is a veteran of World War II.Mrs. Woessner retired after working as a teacher for 25 years. She is active in the state and local levels of the Public School Educators Retiree System.The couple belongs to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where Mrs. Woessner is a life member. They are both Paul Harris Fellows and members of the Prospect Area Preservation Society.
