Eleanor E. Steele, 62, of 229 Whitaker Road, Harrisville, died Thursday morning at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born in Harrisville, Jan. 18, 1944, she was a daughter of the late LeMoyne H. and Mary Vorous McFadden.

She graduated from Slippery Rock High School and most recently was employed at Filers Brothers in Grove City. She previously was manager of Medi Home Care in Grove City for 20 plus years.

Ms. Steele was a member of the West Unity Community Church in Harrisville.

She was the area supervisor for foreign exchange students of which she hosted many and helped place many. She enjoyed ceramics and animals.

Surviving are two sons, Ken Steele and his wife, Carolyn, of Cranberry Township and Greg Steele and his wife, Michelle, of Harrisville; and two granddaughters, Katie and Kimberly Steele, both of Cranberry Township.

She also is survived by a sister, Vera Craig and her husband, Lanny, of Grove City; a brother Donald McFadden and his wife, Sue, of Sharpsville; a special friend, Andrew Feil of Harrisville; and several nieces and nephews.

A brother, Edward McFadden, preceded her in death.

<B>STEELE </B>— Friends of Eleanor E. Steele, who died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Jamison Funeral Home</B>, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Boyd Smith, pastor of the West Unity Community Church, officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Cemetery in Harrisville.
