Weyman 65th anniversary
Edward and Saraellen Weyman of Zelienople celebrated 65 years of marriage with a family dinner at Michael's Restaurant in Prospect.
The former Saraellen Griffin married Weyman July 5, 1941, at the parsonage of Grace Lutheran Church in Rochester.
They have three children, Gary Weyman of North Hills, Lt. Col. James Weyman of Honolulu and Sue Hamilton of Harmony.
They also have nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Weyman retired from J&L Steel in 1977 after 42 years working in the tin mill department. He is a member of the Harmony Lodge 429 F&AM, the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle and the American Legion Post 474 in Zelienople. Aveteran of World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps in China, Burma and India.
Mrs. Weyman is a homemaker and former employee of Bell Telephone. She belongs to the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 485. She enjoys crossword puzzles and quilting.
The couple belongs to St. Peter's Reformed Church in Zelienople, where they participated in the Fidelity Sunday school class and where Weyman has served as a deacon and elder. The couple is involved in the Silver Sneakers fitness program and enjoys playing cards.
