The Vaseys in 1956

Marshall and D. Jayne Vasey of Parker celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with an open house at the home of their son and daughter-in-law.

The former D. Jayne Davis married Vasey on June 15, 1956 at the United Methodist Church in Knox.

They have two children, M. Bruce Vasey of Butler and Lisa Kaczmarczyk of West Sunbury.

They also have two grandchildren.

Vasey is retired from Castle Rubber. He is a veteran of the Navy, serving during the Korean War. He is also a member of the Allegheny Valley Masonic Lodge 521.Mrs. Vasey is retired from Butler Memorial Hospital, where she worked as a nurse. She is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 60 in Parker.The couple belongs to the United Methodist Church in Parker.
