Spencer 60th anniversary
Fred and Betty Spencer of Slippery Rock celebrated 60 years of marriage recently with a family dinner at Rudy's Restaurant in Grove City.
The former Betty Causer married Spencer on July 24, 1946, at Slippery Rock United Methodist Church.
They have three children, Sandra Riddle of Harrisville, Debbie Hedin of Huntingdon Valley and Fred Spencer of Slippery Rock.
They also have eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
Spencer is retired from West Penn Power in Butler. He is a Mason and a lifetime member of the Harrisville Deer Hunters Association.
Mrs. Spencer is retired from Spencer's Nursing Home in Slippery Rock. She is a former member of the Harrisville Deer Hunters Auxiliary.The couple belongs to Slippery Rock United Methodist Church where Spencer is a former head of the Trustee's Committee and Mrs. Spencer is a member of the King's Daughters.
