SAXONBURG — District Judge Sue Haggerty recently heard these cases filed by state police:
Samantha Boucher, 19, of Saxonburg waived to court charges of conspiracy, theft, corruption of minors and driving with a suspended license, filed July 10 by Buffalo Township police.
Janet Elder, 54, of Saxonburg waived to court a charge of theft by deception filed May 23 by Saxonburg police.
Charles Montgomery III, 50, no known address, waived to court charges of receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle, and fugitive from justice, filed July 27 by state police.
Robert Peiffel, 42, of Cabot was held for court on a charge of burglary, harassment trespass and criminal mischief, filed Dec. 24 by state police.
Joyce Ann Sasse, 54, of Cabot waived to court a charge of theft filed May 19 by state police.
CHICORA — District Judge Lewis Stoughton recently heard these cases filed by state police:Diana McCallister, 29, of Evans City was held for court on two counts of aggravated assault by vehicle, driving under the influence, three counts each of endangering the welfare of children and reckless endangerment, driving on the wrong side of the road, careless driving, false reports, and not wearing a seat belt, filed June 21.Donald Scherer, 31, of Chicora waived to court charges of cruelty to animals and reckless driving, filed June 8.Christopher Selfridge, 34, of Butler waived to court charges of DUI and careless driving, filed June 21.
WORTH TWP — District Judge Lawrence Silvis recently heard these cases:Joseph Leroy Swartz, 60, of Mercer, was held July 10 for Mercer County Court. Swartz was charged in March 2003 with DUI, operating an unregistered vehicle, misuse of a plate registration card, operating a vehicle without required financial responsibility, careless driving, operating a vehicle without a valid inspection, and driving under suspension. Swartz was picked up on a warrant in Florida, where he reportedly fled after he was charged.William Edward Gray, 26, of Youngstown, Ohio, was held for Mercer County Court on July 10 for a 2004 case in which he was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle charge. Gray appeared after he was picked up on a warrant for that arrest.
