Smith 50th anniversary
Hib "Smitty"and Patricia Smith of Sarver celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family celebration following a concert at the Chevrolet Amphitheater in Pittsburgh. The event was hosted by the couple's daughter and son-in-law, Richard and Debbie Hayes, their grandchildren, Bobby and Dolly Vinton and Tony Lucchetti.
The former Patricia Chisnell married Smith on June 13, 1956, in Monroeville.
They have two daughters, Debbie Hayes and Patricia Blackburn, both of Sarver.
They also have six grandchildren.
Smith is a retired excavator, landscaper and horse dealer. He also conducted bus tours and served as a bodyguard for performer Bobby Vinton. He enjoys writing music and lyrics.
Mrs. Smith is a homemaker. She enjoys music and dancing, movies, bus tours and church functions. She is a member of Gibsonia Lutheran Church.
