Sargent 55th anniversary
Dale and Emma Sargent of Concordia Haven Apartments in Cabot celebrated 55 years of marriage recently with a private dinner.
The couple was married on June 9, 1951, at First United Methodist Church in New Kensington.
They have two daughters, Beverly Sargent of Franklin, Wis., and Carol Leshock of Greensburg.
They also have two grandchildren.
Sargent retired from Alcoa Research in 1982, where he worked as a metallographer. A veteran of the Air Force, he is a member of the outreach addiction program at Cabot United Methodist Church. He also serves on the Chapel Committee at Concordia.
Mrs. Sargent worked as a secretary for the Lower Burrell School District, Alcoa Research and Koppers. She enjoys sewing and reading.
The couple belongs to Cabot United Methodist Church and are former members of Bethel United Methodist Church in Lower Burrell.
