Fisher 60th anniversary
Loyal "Cliff" and Genevieve Fisher of Chicora celebrated 60 years of marriage recently. A Mass celebrating the marriage will be celebrated at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Carbon Center, followed by a dinner at Hindman Hall.
The former Genevieve Carben married Fisher on June 26, 1946, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in North Oakland.
They have three children, Marcella "Sally"Fisher of Butler and Larry Fisher and Edward Fisher, both of Chicora. Ason, Joseph Fisher, is deceased.
They also have eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.Fisher is retired from Allis Chalmers and Deutz-Allis. Aveteran of the Army, he served in World War II. Fisher is a member of the Chicora Moose Lodge and the VFW.Mrs. Fisher is retired from the A&W and the Hostess Shop at Butler Memorial Hospital. She was also employed at St. Wendelin School.The couple belongs to St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church.
