The Himeses in 1956

Don and Betty Himes of Grove City will celebrate 50 years of marriage with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Harrisville Fire Hall.

The former Betty Wallwork married Himes on June 9, 1956, at Tower Presbyterian Church in Grove City.

They have two children, Dana Roman and Tim Himes, both of Grove City. They also have two grandchildren.

Himes worked as a self-employed contractor under the name Don Himes Construction.Mrs. Himes is a homemaker.The couple belongs to Harrisville Branch Church.
