Shirley Rodgers of Center Township was recently named Outstanding Slippery Rock University Graduate Student for 2005-06.Rodgers is currently completing a master of arts degree in college student personnel. She works as a student technical specialist at Butler County Community College and serves on the executive board of the Pennsylvania College Personnel Association.———

Evan Smith, both of West Sunbury, recently participated in the Northeast Region of the National Collegiate Honors Council's annual conference.Students at Gannon University, both are graduates of Moniteau High School.Schmitt is the daughter of Howard and Sandra Schmitt.Smith is the son of Stephen and Shelby Smith.———
Jenna Rosenbauer, daughter of Ray and Jeanne Rosenbauer of Butler, was recently inducted into the Lambda Sigma National Honor Society at Westminster College.A freshman elementary education major at Westminster, she is a 2005 graduate of Butler High School.———
Cara Cygan of Butler, daughter of Doug Cygan and Lori Cygan, has been selected for membership in the Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society at Clarion University.———

Caleb Dodd, son of David and Josie Dodd of Worthington, has been selected for membership in the Golden Key International Honor Society.A third-year pharmacy major at Northeastern University, he is currently completing his second co-op at Eckerd Drug in Kittanning.———
Olivia DeMay, granddaughter of Zelienople Mayor Thomas Oliverio, was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship by the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs.A student at Heritage High School, she plans to attend the University of Virginia to pursue a degree in genetics.———
Lynsi Renwick, a junior mathematics major at Penn State University, recently received The Mary Lister McCammon Scholarship in Mathematics.A2003 graduate of Butler High School, she was also awarded an academic award, the Best Cheerleader Award, and the Coach's Award at her Penn State Cheerleading Banquet for the 2005-06 season.
