Two local youth received titles during the Miss Butler County and Miss Moraine State Scholarship program held recently.
The title of Little Miss Butler County America was awarded to
Olivia Kappler, 10, daughter of Joe and Angela Kappler of Butler. She is a fourth grade student at McQuistion Elementary School.
Jenna Molczan, 12, daughter of Jeff and Terri Molczan of Butler was named Junior Miss Butler County America. She is currently a seventh grade student at Butler Junior High School.Both title winners were presented a crown, sash, flowers and a $200 savings bond.Runners-up in the Little Miss Butler County contest included

<B>Lisa Hummel</B>, director of bands in the Union School District, recently attended the Annual Inservice Conference of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association.The three-day conference, held in Valley Forge, concluded with concerts by the All-State Choir, Band, Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Jazz Band and Vocal Jazz Ensemble.
———<B>Haley Libecco</B>, daughter of Philip and Pam Libecco of Karns City, was named "Most Congenial" at the Miss Cheerleader of America program held April 8 and 9 in Pittsburgh.A senior at Karns City High School, she was awarded a tiara, certificate and a plaque.Libecco plans to attend Arizona State University in the fall to study physical therapy.
———<B>Michael Michalisin</B> of Carterville, Ill., formerly of Butler, has been named Outstanding Graduate Teacher of the Year by the College of Business and Administration at Southern Illinois University.A professor in the Department of Management, he is the son of Michael Michalisin of Valencia and Marge Hardy of Butler.Michalisin is a 1981 graduate of Butler High School.
