Shanea Raabe, daughter of William Raabe and Kathy Raabe Jesteadt of Prospect, has been awarded a full scholarship to attend Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week July 30 through Aug. 5 at Lycoming College.She is asophomore at Slippery Rock High School.———

Eric Nebel, son of Darrell and Cynthia Nebel of Cabot, has been inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma National Collegiate Honor Society at Clarion University.Nebel is currently a freshman at Clarion.———

Samuel Roth of Butler was recently inducted to the Alpha Lambda Delta honor society at American University.He is currently pursuing a degree in public communication at the university.———

Jessica Klabnik, daughter of Steve and Sue Klabnik of Sarver, was awarded the first place award for excellence and a $5,000 per year scholarship to Penn State University during the Pittsburgh Regional Science and Engineering Fair held recently.Astudent at Freeport High School, her work was titled "Does the scrotal circumference and average daily weight gain of a bull affect the number of primary sperm abnormalities?"———

Joseph Boben of Butler has been accepted to the Air Force Academy's summer seminar program for 2006.He will travel to the academy in Colorado Springs to participate in academic and physical training programs.———

Chiara Laconi of Butler has been inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi academic honor society.A 2003 graduate of Butler High School, she is a senior at Slippery Rock University.———

Sarah Chobot, daughter of Stephen and Jayne Chobot of Butler, has been selected to receive a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship award.She is currently a student at the University of Pennsylvania and plans to transfer to Duke University to pursue a doctoral degree.
