David L. Norton
David L. Norton, 78, of Mars died Monday at Shand's Hospital in Gaines-ville, Fla.
Born March 20, 1927, in Butler, he was the son of L.V. and Mary Helen Roberts Norton.
He retired as senior master sergeant and propulsion branch chief for the Air National Guard at the Pittsburgh Airport.
Mr. Norton was a member of the Mars United Methodist Church. He was a life member of the Mars Volunteer Fire Department and the Cranberry Elks and vice president of the board of directors of the Mars Cemetery Association.
He was a World War II Navy veteran and belonged to the Mars VFW Post 7505.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Mills Norton, whom he married Sept. 13, 2003; a daughter, Mrs. Brian (Jodi) Keller of Cranberry Township, two sons, Greg (Marcia) and Mark Norton, both of Mars; stepchildren, Mrs. Bob (Charlene) Hoglund and Laurie Clarke, both of Florida, Karen Clarke, of Colorado and Allison Clarke of Butler.
He was the brother of Harley Norton and Betty Lou Harley, both of California; half-brother of Robert Hughes of New Jersey; and brother-in-law of Willis and Justine Davison of Evans City.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Justin and Jessica Keller; and step-grandchildren, Emily and Jessica Hoglund and Kris, Reno and Darien Clarke.
His first wife, H. Maxine Davison Norton, whom he married June 25, 1949, died May 27, 1990. He also was preceded in death by a stepson, Jerry Clark; and a stepbrother, Harry Hughes Jr.
<B>NORTON </B>— Friends of David L. Norton, who died Monday, March 13, 2006, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>McDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
