Joseph Frances Sawron

Joseph Frances Sawron, 80, of East Locust Street died at 7:20 a.m. Sunday at his home.

Born Aug. 26, 1925, in Lyndora, he was the son of Joseph Sawron and Katherine Demko.

Mr. Sawron was a retired welder for Pullman-Standard. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War II, where he served in the Pacific. He enjoyed going to flea markets and gardening.

Mr. Sawron is survived by his wife, Betty J. Sawron, whom he married Oct. 22, 1949. Also surviving are a daughter, Diane Lynn Cottone, and a son, Joseph Edwin Sawron, of both of Butler; a grandchild, a great-grandchild, a sister, Katherine Sheppeck of Butler, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Sawron was preceded in death by five sisters.

<B>SAWRON </B>— A memorial service for Joseph Frances Sawron, who died Sunday, March 12, 2006, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Salvation Army, 313 West Cunningham St., with Maj. Robert Carney officiating. Arrangements are being handled by the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>.Contributions may be made to Salvation Army, 313 W. Cunningham St., Butler, PA 16001.
