Kenneth Burnett Rape
Kenneth Burnett Rape, 87, of Zelienople died Saturday at the Ellwood City Hospital.
Born March 25, 1918, in Zelienople, he was the son of Arthur and Margaret Neely Rape.
He was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Reformed Church in Zelienople, where he was a former elder and a Sunday school superintendent. He also was a member of the Harmony Lodge 429 F&AM, the Syria Shrine Temple in Pittsburgh and the Valley of New Castle Consistory.
Mr. Rape was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Zelienople American Legion Post 474. He was also a member of the Keenagers in Portersville and the AARP.
He played Santa Claus in the Zelienople Community for 50 years. He was an avid Steelers fan and gardener and enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Borland Rape, whom he married June 29, 1940; two daughters, Darlene A. Wogan and her husband, David, of Connoquenessing and Sharyn A. McMaster and her husband, Tim, of Zelienople; a son, Kenneth A. Rape and his wife, Ruthanne, of Columbus, Ind.; and four sisters, Alberta Krestel, Helen Staggers and Jean Thompson and her husband, Chip, all of Ellwood City, and Ethel Black of Beaver Falls. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Ralph Rape, and a granddaughter Dana McMaster.
<B>RAPE </B>— Friends of Kenneth Burnett Rape, who died Saturday will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Reformed Church, Zelienople, with the Rev. James Bertoti, officiating. Burial will be at the St. Peter's Reformed Church Cemetery, Zelienople.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Peter's Reformed Church, 314-320 E.
