Wilma J. Manuel
Wilma J. Manuel, 74, of Butler died at 12:32 p.m. Tuesday at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Vinemont, Ala., May 11, 1931, she was the daughter of James J. and Velma Sinyard England.
She had been an assistant manager at Eiben & Irr until it closed. She later worked at Bon-Ton.
Mrs. Manuel was an active member of the North Main Street Church of God.
She also was active in the lives of her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Jack L. Manuel, whom she married Nov. 21, 1953; a daughter and son and their spouses, Jody and Dennis Crouse and James G. and Carol Manuel, all of Butler; and seven grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy and Jenna Manuel and Tyler, Spencer, Fletcher and Caitlin Crouse.
A sister, Mrs. Thomas (Celia) Caudle of Vinemont; a brother, Huey D. England of Cullman, Ala.; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
A brother, Larry England, preceded her in death.
MANUEL — Friends of Wilma J. Manuel, who died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Hall, pastor of visitation at her church, officiating.
