Butler, Cox

Carla Butler of Butler and Steven Cox of Valencia exchanged wedding vows at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at Greystone Fields. The Rev. Ted Harris officiated. A reception followed at Greystone Fields.

The bride is the daughter of Carl and Patty Butler and Vicky Butler, all of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Bob and Susan Cox of Mars. The bride was presented for marriage by her parents, Carl Butler and Vicky Butler.

The bride's sister, Katie Decker of Butler was the honor attendant. Bridesmaids included the bride's sisters, Kelly Christie of Chicora and Cassie Butler of Butler; Amber Butler and Ashley Butler, both of Butler; and Elizabeth Weber of Chicora. The flower girl was Mackenzie Decker of Butler.

Serving his brother as best man was Michael Cox of Germantown, Md. Ushers were Bill Friedline of Hampton, Va.; Michael Parker of Colorado; and Craig Maxwell, Tyler Anderson, Jeff Juhn and the bride's brother, Michael Dunmyre, all of Butler. The ring bearer was Tieler Friedline of Hampton, Va.

The bride graduated in 2000 from Butler High School, in 2002 from Butler County Community College and in 2005 from the University of Pittsburgh. She works for the Center for Community Resources.

The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Mars High School and a 1998 graduate of the International Culinary Academy. He works for Resch Construction.

Following a Caribbean cruise honeymoon, the couple is making their home in Valencia.
