Wetzel, Hibbs

Kelley Wetzel and Michael Hibbs, both of Karns City, exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m. Oct. 22 at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Butler. The Rev. Harry Bielewicz and Bishop Dan Bowman officiated. The newlyweds greeted guests during a reception at the Tanglewood Center in Lyndora.

The bride is the daughter of Robert and Susan Wetzel of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Eldin and Donna Hibbs and Donald and Gloria Harkus, all of Butler.

The matron of honor was Christie Mitchell of Cabot and the maid of honor was Meghan Wetzel of Butler. Bridesmaids included Marsha Hespenheide and Sherri Magill, both of Butler, and Jamie Boston of New Castle.

Performing the duties of best man was Christopher Gerhart of Erie. Groomsmen included Michael Wetzel and Jeremy Jones, both of Butler; Thomas McConnell of Pittsburgh; and Christopher Berger of Easton, Ohio. The ring bearer was Calvin Mitchell of Cabot.

The bride graduated in 1999 from Knoch High School, in 2001 from Butler County Community College and in 2003 from Slippery Rock University. She works at U.S. Investigations Services in Grove City.

The bridegroom graduated in 1994 from Butler High School, and earned degrees in 2001 and 2003 from Butler County Community College. He works for United Mining Equipment, Butler.

Following a honeymoon trip to San Diego, the couple is making their home in Karns City.
