Sarah Morley of Grove City and Kurt Mershimer of Slippery Rock were united in marriage on Jan. 1 at Hillcrest Presbyterian Church in Volant. The Rev. Irfon Hughes officiated. A reception followed at The Villa in New Castle.

The bride is the daughter of Steve and Shirie Morley of Grove City. Parents of the bridegroom are Paul and Marguerite Mershimer of Slippery Rock.

The maid of honor was Laura Morley. Bridesmaids included Kelly Book, Tammy Shields, Catie Morley, Ann Morley, Elizabeth Rodgers and Carrie Moose. Junior bridesmaids were Brittney Boehm and Danielle Baker. Zoe Morley was the flower girl.

Performing the duties of best man was Aaron Cramer. Groomsmen included Chip Johnson, Neil Raybould, Mark Ort, Gerald Bullock, Kelly Kurth and Gareth Hughes. Ushers included Brian Morley and Jason Morley. Samuel Hahn was the ring bearer.

Following a honeymoon trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is making their home in the New Castle area.
