Leone, Johnson

Sarah Leone and Daniel Johnson, both of Providence, R.I., were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Aug. 20 at Central Congregational Church in Providence. The Rev. T. Michael Rock officiated. A reception followed at The Federal Reserve.

The bride is the daughter of Steve Leone of Evans City and Kathy Leone of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Ted and Michelle Johnson of Northfield, Minn.

The maid of honor was Zarrin Atkins of Boston. Bridesmaids included Sarah Retrum of Pottstown, Nikki Dillard of Houston and Bryn Shamey of Evans City.

Performing the duties of best man was Eric Johnson of New York City. Groomsmen included Todd Bassion of Boston, Ben Aase of Minneapolis and Phil Schmidt of Washington, D.C. Ushers included Steven Leone of Verona; Tony Druck of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and Grady McGovern and Andy Swenson, both of Northfield.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Shady Side Academy and a 2001 graduate of Kenyon College. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in elementary education at Rhode Island College. She is employed as a teacher in Providence.

The bridegroom graduated in 1996 from Northfield High School, in 2000 from Colorado College and in 2001 from Stanford University. He works for Pfizer Pharmaceutical in Groton, Conn.

Following a honeymoon trip to the island of Santorini in Greece, the couple is making their home in Providence.
