Evans City residents Sarah Skelley and Chad McCurdy were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at Penn Glade Lions Park in Penn Township. The Rev. Jeffrey Lawther officiated. A reception followed at the Penn Glade Lions Clubhouse.

The bride is the daughter of Suzanne Skelley of Valencia. Parents of the bridegroom are Maurice "Mac" McCurdy of Portersville and Karen Lawther of Zelienople.

The bride was presented for marriage by her cousin Brian Fleeger of Butler.

The maid of honor was Jean Osborne of Harmony. The bridesmaid was Dawn Evans of New Brighton.

Serving his son as best man was Maurice McCurdy of Portersville. Glenn Katic of Harmony was the usher.

The bride attended Mars High School. She works as the assistant manager of Affordable Maids in Wexford.

The groom attended Freedom High School. He works as a welder for Fab-Tec in Coraopolis.

The couple is making their home in Evans City.
