Dorfield, Polgar

Jennifer Dorfield and Jonathan Polgar, both of South Hadley, Mass., were united in marriage at 5 p.m. June 4 at the Morning Glory Inn in Pittsburgh. Ellen Landress-Bowkett officiated. A reception followed at the inn.

The bride is the daughter of Scott and Patty Dorfield of Pittsburgh, formerly of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Julian and Marineitta Polgar of Orlando, Fla., and Frank and Julie Brock of Brownsville, Vt.

The bride was presented for marriage by her parents.

The maids of honor were Sharon Kephart of Pittsburgh and Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf of New York City. The flower girl was Lauren Burke of Wellesley, Mass.

Performing the duties of best men were Dr. Jeffrey Polgar of Burnsville, N.C. and Ashley Smith of Dallas. The ring bearer was Nolan Burke of Wellesley.

The bride is a 1988 graduate of Butler High School; a 1992 graduate of Dickinson College, earning a bachelor's of arts degree; and a 1995 graduate of Smith College, where she earned a master's degree. She recently joined the teaching faculty at Westfield State College in Westfield, Mass.

The groom graduated in 1988 from Darlington School; in 1992 from Dickinson College, earning a bachelor's of arts degree; and in 2002 from Long Island University. He works as a physician's assistant with Baystate Health System in Springfield, Mass.

Following a honeymoon trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple is making their home in South Hadley.
